Liebherr to Display Rough Terrain Crane at Newport News Fourth of July Celebration
Liebherr will display its LRT 1130-2.1 rough terrain crane during Newport News' Fourth of July celebration honoring VA250.
June 29, 2026 - Liebherr USA will showcase its LRT 1130-2.1 rough terrain crane during the City of Newport News' "Stars in the Sky" Fourth of July celebration on July 4 at Victory Landing Park. The event honors VA250, which commemorates the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
According to Liebherr, the crane will be displayed flying the American flag as part of the community celebration, which includes live entertainment, local food vendors and a fireworks display along the James River.
The LRT 1130-2.1 is a rough terrain crane designed for off-road applications. Liebherr said the crane offers high lifting capacity, fast telescoping technology and transportability for construction, mining and heavy lifting applications. The model is part of the company's broader U.S. portfolio, which spans 10 product segments, including construction machinery, cranes and component technologies.
Liebherr USA has been headquartered in Newport News since 1970 and serves customers across approximately one-third of the United States. The company said it has maintained a longstanding presence in the Hampton Roads community through participation in local organizations and sponsorships, including the Chamber of Commerce, the One City Marathon, youth sports and nonprofit organizations.
