The event will highlight machine innovation, workforce development and sustainability within the construction industry. Exhibits will be located between the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument.

As one of several OEMs in attendance, Liebherr will display a range of construction equipment and present its latest technological advancements. The company's exhibit is designed to help attendees better understand the applications, performance, and economic benefits of modern construction equipment. Topics will include emissions technology, alternative power sources, construction methods, and workforce development initiatives.

"We are proud to be participating in the Celebration of Construction on the National Mall. This event provides an opportunity to showcase innovative products and construction solutions utilized across the country,” said Kai Friedrich, managing director of Liebherr USA Co. “Liebherr's dedication to the U.S. market extends beyond manufacturing as we are deeply committed to supporting local communities and promoting sustainable practices within the construction industry.”

At the event, Liebherr will feature three machines: the LRT 1090-2.1 rough terrain crane, the 42 M5 XXT truck-mounted concrete pump and the L 546 wheel loader. The LRT 1090-2.1 includes a VarioBase support system and rope pull technology for boom extension. The 42 M5 XXT is equipped with a five-part multi-fold boom, XXT outrigger system and the Powerbloc drive unit. The L 546 offers increased breakout force and faster cycle times, supported by hydrostatic drive and optional assistance systems.

Liebherr has served the U.S. market since 1970 and operates across 12 product segments. The company’s Newport News, Virginia, facility produces diesel-electric mining trucks and supports innovations such as the T 264 Battery Electric truck and S1 Vision material handling solution.

In addition to product development, Liebherr has made significant investments in its U.S. infrastructure. In 2020, it expanded its Virginia campus with a $60 million investment, adding administrative, training and service facilities. In 2024, Liebherr announced a $176 million investment in a logistics center in Tupelo, Mississippi, expected to create more than 300 jobs. In 2025, the company plans to open a new sales and service center in Houston, Texas, to support regional crane and construction customers.

Liebherr’s participation in the National Mall event reflects its ongoing commitment to the U.S. market and its efforts to promote workforce development and sustainable construction practices.
