Lifting Gear Hire to Award Fundamentals of Rigging Engineering Scholarship
June 22, 2016 - In 2015, Industrial Training International started a new training program, Fundamentals of Rigging Engineering. It was created for personnel who plan and oversee lifting and load handling activities including lift planners, crane and rigging managers, and engineers. The program is accredited by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) and continuing education units approval from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
In support of load-handling continuing education, Lifting Gear Hire is sponsoring a full program seat (five required courses and two electives) for Fundamentals of Rigging Engineering – a $10,000+ value. Applicants must complete a questionnaire including three short essay questions about why they wish to pursue further education and how it can benefit their current work environment. Applications will be accepted until July 31st.
