November 22, 2011–Linden Comansa, Pineville, N.C., has released the LC3000, a new series of high- capacity, flat-top tower cranes. The series includes the 30 LC 1100 and 30 LC 1400 models. Designed for heavy industry, mining and public works applications, both models are available 32-, 48- and 64-ton maximum load capacity versions.
The cranes can be erected with jib lengths from 131 to 262 feet, with jib sections every 33 feet. The largest tower section is 20 feet high and 33 feet long. A new system folds the upper part of the jib, allowing the tower sections to fit into an open-top container, while the rest of jib sections fit into regular containers for transport.
The LC3000 cranes are erected over 13-foot-wide and 18-foot-high tower sections. The maximum freestanding height of the cranes is 291 feet, which can be extended with tie frames. Additionally, a new 18-foot-wide tower section reaches higher freestanding heights. The tower sections of LC3000 cranes can also be combined with the tower sections of other Linden Comansa cranes, such as the 21 LC 750. The LC3000 cranes can be erected with fixing angles or over a 33-foot-wide "H" base.
LC3000 cranes come with a hoist mechanism of 200 kW (268 hp) with frequency control, a drum with capacity for 4,757 feet of wire, and Linden Comansa’s double trolley system with automatic reeving change.
The LC3000 series will be available for order on December 1, with a current delivery time of 10 to 12 months.
