Link-Belt Establishes Distribution in the U.K.

October 30, 2007 • Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co., Lexington, Ky., has appointed NRC Plant Ltd. to be its sales and service representative for the United Kingdom, including England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland.

Earlier this year, Link-Belt re-introduced the Link-Belt brand in Europe at Bauma and SED and is focused on expanding the presence of its telescopic cranes through experienced, local distribution.

“The NRC Plant personnel have a strong legacy dating back to 1953 with excellent crane service,” said Brax Snyder, Link-Belt's worldwide sales manager. “I know they will bring the same high level of competent Link-Belt support to crane customers in the United Kingdom.”

Link-Belt is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Heavy Industries, which in turn is a 50% partner in the Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Crane (HSC) joint venture set up in 2002. HSC has lattice boom crane sales operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

NRC Plant Ltd., a subsidiary of Joseph Gallagher Ltd., is the exclusive distributor for Hitachi-Sumitomo crawler cranes covering the whole of the United Kingdom.
