Link-Belt's Claflin Joins Stafford Development Board

May 3, 2007 • Tifton, Ga.-based Stafford Development Company's board of directors has elected John Claflin to its membership, increasing the size of the board from seven to eight. Claflin is retired from Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company,
During Claflin's career at Link-Belt, he gained experience in both the crane and excavator segments of the equipment industry. With positions in manufacturing, product support, sales and marketing, Claflin has an understanding of running an equipment organization, from both the manufacturing and distributorship sides.
Prior to retirement from Link-Belt, Claflin served as VP corporate development and subsidiary operations, where he focused on the company's growth potential within the crane industry and its subsidiary operations. Claflin also served as a founding board member of the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). He has also been a board member and president for the SC&R Foundation, a non-profit entity established by the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association to foster research projects, education and scholarships.
