The HTC-86110 truck crane will debut later this month.
The 58-ft. on-board fly features four offset positions of 2, 15, 30 and 45 degrees, and it features an integrated 10-ft. fly that reeves up to four-parts of line and is capable of lifting 26 tons. Two additional 16-ft. lattice boom extensions bring the maximum tip height to 261.6 ft.
The front and rear axle groups of the HTC-86110 have a combined transport capacity of 107,250 lbs. at highway speeds in excess of 60 mph. A fully equipped crane can travel with its standard 16,000 lbs. of counterweight without the need of a boom dolly. An additional 32,600 lbs. of counterweight is available, bringing the maximum counterweight to 48,600 lbs. With the overflow of counterweight weighng less than 45,000 lbs., there is ample capacity on one-overflow truck for a tool box, rigging, mats, and more.
Transport weight can be reduced to less than 90,000 lbs. when all the counterweight is removed. It is boom dolly capable, and when traveling with a three-axle boom dolly, a fully equipped 86100 with 36,000 lbs. of counterweight can travel under 20,000 lbs. per axle.
Powering the HTC-86110 is a 450-hp Cummins engine with 1,550 ft.-lbs. of torque for the North American market. The engine couples to ZF’s AS-tronic automated transmission with 12 speeds forward and two reverse. The controls for this transmission are similar to an automatic (no clutch pedal) and have the performance of a manual with automated pump dis-engagement for on-highway travel and jobsite maneuver modes.
The winch package delivers a maximum line pull of 20,739 lbs. and can provide more than 16,000 lbs. of line pull up to the fourth layer, which is ideal for 3/4-in. wire ropes that are line-pull rated at 15,700 lbs. and higher. The maximum line speed on the winch is 495 fpm.
The operator’s cab tilts up to 20 degrees and has pull-out “Cabwalk” for ease of entry. Inside, the operator has a five-way adjustable seat. The electronic controllers are available in either a dual- or single-axis configuration and have a fine metering feature. There is a designated foot pedal for boom telescope operation, and the swing control allows the operator to free swing and utilize a foot pedal for smooth braking. Also included is the Link-Belt Pulse system with telematics, cameras for viewing winch operation and swing, heating, air-conditioning, and AM/FM radio with Bluetooth.
A work lighting package is available and includes fourwork lights mounted on top of the operator's cab, the right side of the superstructure facing forward, on the upper work platform, and on the left side of the superstructure facing out. Also available are single and dual boom floodlights, and remote control floodlights that work in conjunction with other floodlights options.
