Maker of DBI-SALA and PROTECTA Fall Protection Products Relocates

June 6, 2006 — Capital Safety, a manufacturer of fall protection equipment and maker of the DBI-SALA and PROTECTA brands, recently moved to a new location due to significant growth. The new location, located in Red Wing, Minn., accommodates a 135,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. The new complex includes a high-tech testing lab created to test products and materials to ensure quality. Along with the larger building, a new state-of-the-art training facility will be constructed for fall safety training courses. The new development sits on 14 acres of land and provides opportunity for expansion.

The move comes in response to significant growth for the company. Recently Capital Safety acquired Unique Concepts Limited, an international fall protection and confined space rescue equipment manufacturer, and SINCO Netting in May of 2005.

“This new facility will not only help us provide enhanced efficiencies in the production process, but it allows us the opportunity to explore further expansion,” said Pat Velasco, president and CEO. “Our recent mergers and growth signify our commitment to the fall safety industry, and we know our new building and upgrades will compliment our already strong position in the marketplace.”
