Manitex Appoints Regional Business Manager

Norm Burch

August 20, 2007 • Manitex, Georgetown, Texas, has announced Norm Burch's appointment as western regional business manager for Manitex, Inc. Burch has extensive experience in engineering and sales functions. His primary responsibilities will include dealer support, training and new market development for Manitex boom trucks and the Sky Crane aerial platform. Burch's territory will include Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming, Montana and all other western states, plus the western Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

Burch's background includes engineering of boom trucks with a well-known boom truck manufacturer. He also has a proven track record in sales of load moment indicators and radio remote control systems to the crane industry. Burch was previously chairman of a working group for the SAE crane and lifting devices committee, responsible for drafting the latest revision of SAE J159 “Load Moment Systems-SAE Recommended Practice.”
