Manitex Adds New Outrigger Options for the Railway Sector

January 12, 2016 - Manitex recently introduced an out-and-down outrigger option for the CM170 and CM190 series machines at the Railway Interchange show in Minneapolis, Minn. With a maximum lift capacity of 19 tons, and installed on a commercially-available chassis equipped with Hi-rail gear, the new offering is ideally suited for various railroad construction and maintenance applications.

 

The unveiling was well received by both Class One railroads, and contractors alike because of the flexibility in the three-position outrigger spreads, reports the manufacturer
