Manitex’s PM, Oil & Steel Separate, Hire New GMs

Tacconi

Steve Filipov, the newly-appointed CEO of Manitex International, has unveiled major developments regarding the company’s Italian operations. The PM and Oil & Steel businesses will now operate as separate divisions of Manitex International, which took effect Nov. 1.

In light of this, Giovanni Tacconi has been appointed general manager for the PM articulated crane business, while Fabrizio Girotti has been appointed general manager for the Oil & Steel aerial work platforms business, both reporting directly to Filipov.

In these newly-established roles, Tacconi and Girotti will have full responsibility for sales, service and spare parts, manufacturing, engineering, and all commercial operations of their respective operations.

For the last 16 years, Tacconi has been the commercial director of PM Group and Oil & Steel, while for the last 12 years, Girotti has been industrial director of Oil & Steel. During their long tenures, both have made significant contributions to the growth and success of the companies.

PM is well-established in truck-mounted articulated boom truck-mounted cranes, with over 60 years of experience. Similarly, in its almost 25 years in the aerial work platform business, Oil & Steel has established itself an innovator of truck-mounted and crawler-mounted ‘Spider’ platforms.
