Manitowoc Crane Group Names New Vice President, Worldwide Marketing

January 9, 2007 • Manitowoc Crane Group, Manitowoc, Wis., has appointed Robert M. Hund as vice president, worldwide marketing. Hund will be responsible for strategic planning, direction, and execution of marketing functions. He succeeds and will report to Larry Bryce, who was promoted in October to the new role of vice president, business development for MCG.

 

At MCG, Hund will work closely with the executive team, regional leadership, and sales and marketing teams to set and implement global market penetration efforts across all product lines. His focus will be on all aspects of marketing at MCG, which includes product marketing, marketing communications, and operational marketing. He will also be responsible for leading the global new product development team.

 

Hund comes to Manitowoc after 18 years at Caterpillar, where he worked as a manufacturing and systems engineer and later transitioned to marketing for construction and mining trucks. He also was the Six Sigma Division Champion for Caterpillar's Mining and Construction Equipment Division and a global product development manager for motor graders, quarry and mining trucks, and earthmoving scrapers.

 

Hund has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University, a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, and an MBA from Millikin University.
