Manitowoc Executives Move Up

April 9, 2007 • Manitowoc Crane Group, Manitowoc, Wis., announced that John Wheeler has been named the executive vice president in charge of global operational excellence, and Larry Weyers, the current head of Manitowoc Crane CARE, will succeed Wheeler as executive vice president in charge of the Americas. The appointments will take place July 1, 2007.

 

In his new role, Wheeler will ensure the execution of strategic and tactical operations efforts across all product lines on a global basis, while Weyers assumes responsibility for providing overall direction and leadership to the Manitowoc Crane Group's Americas region. Both Wheeler and Weyers will continue to report to Glen Tellock, president of Manitowoc Crane Group.

 

Over the next three months, Wheeler and Weyers will work closely on the transition of duties for the Americas region. Weyer's successor as head of Crane CARE has not been named.
