Manitowoc Names New Crane CARE Vice President

Dave Hardin
April 2, 2007 • David Hardin has been promoted to vice president of Manitowoc Crane CARE for the Americas. The promotion follows his successful year as general manager of Manitowoc Crane CARE's remanufacture, rebuild, repair, and exchange operation (ENCORE).


In his new role, Hardin provides planning, direction, and management for all Manitowoc Crane CARE teams in North and South America. He will further develop the parts and service operations, rapid response teams, and contact centers, as well as oversee the training and technical support efforts for the Americas. Hardin will relocate to the Manitowoc Crane CARE facility in Shady Grove, Pa. In his new position, Hardin reports directly to Larry Weyers, executive vice president of Manitowoc Crane CARE.

 

For the past year, Hardin worked from the Manitowoc Crane CARE remanufacturing facility in Bauxite, Ark, where he oversaw operations, including lattice and mobile hydraulic crane rebuilds, component repair, reconditioning programs, and exchange activities.

 

Prior to joining MCG, Hardin held a variety of general management and senior financial positions at Komatsu America and Cummins Engine. He also taught at the University of Kentucky, Gatton School of Business and Midway College in Midway, Ky. Hardin has a bachelor's degree in political science and an MBA in finance, both from the Ohio State University.
