The latest addition to the Potain lineup, the MDLT 1109, is tailored to meet the demands of Europe's expansive infrastructure projects. With a maximum capacity of 40 metric tons and the ability to lift 11.1 metric tons at a reach of 80 meters, this crane is ideal for tackling ambitious endeavors such as nuclear plants, bridges and other significant construction undertakings.
The crane builds upon the success of its predecessor, the MD 1100, by offering a more compact footprint, simplified transportation, and enhanced assembly procedures. Crafted with the latest Potain technology, including the P+ load curve, Potain CCS (Crane Control System), Potain CONNECT telematics, and Cab-IN internal mast operator lift, the MDLT 1109 sets a new standard for performance and innovation.
Manufactured primarily at Manitowoc's facility in Moulins, France, the MDLT 1109 combines robust lifting capabilities with convenient transport dimensions and a streamlined erection process. Its compact design not only addresses the growing demand for larger capacity cranes in Europe but also ensures easy deployment and operation on complex job sites.
Unlike its predecessor, the MDLT 1109 stands out as a low-top crane with compact overall dimensions, allowing it to seamlessly integrate with other cranes on a construction site. Moreover, it offers advanced features such as P+ load curves for increased hoisting capacities, the Potain CCS for precise control, and the Potain CONNECT telematics system for remote access to crane data, enhancing performance and durability.
“The MDLT 1109 is a game-changer for European infrastructure projects. It combines unprecedented power with surprising ease of transport and setup – a combination that will accelerate project timelines and redefine what’s possible in large-scale construction,” said Thibaut Le Besnerais, vice president of marketing and development for tower cranes at Manitowoc.
