Manitowoc Cuts 528 Jobs in Crawler Crane Manufacturing Move

August 11, 2016 - According to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, more than 500 jobs will be lost over the next 12 months when Manitowoc moves its crawler crane manufacturing to Shady Grove, Pa. The loss of the 528 jobs will be in phases beginning this year. The move is expected to be completed by mid-2017.

In a statement from state officials, Manitowoc Cranes is still in the process of finalizing the planned closure, including the specific dates of separation. Job titles of those affected and the names of employees holding those positions will be provided as soon as they are available, but no later than 60 days prior to the first scheduled workforce reduction.
