Manitowoc Names Global Marketing VP

July 14, 2015 - Manitowoc has appointed Ion Warner as vice president, global marketing. Warner brings 28 years of automotive and industrial manufacturing experience to the Manitowoc, Wis., company, and will help Manitowoc enhance its global reputation and better develop its marketing activities.

 

“Manitowoc is recognized as a global leader in cranes which is also reflected in the excellence of our products, the strength of our customer support and the hard work of our staff,” said Dave Hull, SVP global sales and marketing. “To reinforce our industry-leading position and to continue our quest for excellence, we rely on a strong marketing team,” he says. “Ion will be responsible for building that team and delivering our marketing efforts. I am delighted to welcome him to Manitowoc,” Hull added.

 

Prior to joining Manitowoc, Warner built a successful career at Ford Motor Co. and Case New Holland Industrial, where he held the role of senior director, marketing. His most recent position was with global industrial equipment manufacturer Pentair, where he held the position of vice president, global infrastructure/building services.

 

“Ion has an excellent mix of industry and international business experience that I am confident will help us to develop our marketing programs and enhance our training efforts for years to come,” adds Hull.

 

Warner’s responsibilities cover a broad spectrum of marketing across Manitowoc’s global markets and brands, including marketing strategy, sales training, trade show participation, advertising, brand management, public relations, digital marketing and market research.
