Manulift Sells 500th Merlo Telehandler
April 23, 2008 • Since 2004, Canadian equipment rental house and distributor Manulift, Montreal, Quebec, has been aligned with Italian telescopic handler manufacturer Merlo to sell its products in North America. This week, Merlo announced that Manulift sold its 500th machine • a Panoramic P101.10 HM • to utility company Hydro Quebec.

The 22,000-pound capacity Panoramic P101.10 HM features an 11,000-pound maximum capacity at its 32-foot maximum lift height. Capacity at its 18.7-foot maximum forward reach is 6,000 pounds. Powered by
a 145-hp six-cylinder turbo diesel engine, this unit travels fast at 25 mph. Other features include a hydrostatic transmission, a load-sensing variable displacement pump hydraulic system, boom side-shift, and the Merlo Local Interactive Network, or MERlin, which allows the operator to visually monitor all machine functions.

Amilcare Merlo, president of the Merlo Group, officially delivered this telescopic handler to Jean-Yves Drolet, president of Manulift. More than 50 of Manulift's customers were in attendance at the delivery.
