MCFA Announces New President

August 28, 2008 • After five years of service as president of Houston, Texas-based Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc., Hideaki Ninomiya will be returning to a new assignment at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan. Shigeru Tanemura has been named the new president of MCFA, effective October 1, 2008.

Ninomiya was involved with MCFA Houston operations for more than 20 years, and over the course of his service, MCFA has grown from a small manufacturing facility into one of the largest operations among the global MHI/MCF forklift organization. As president, Ninomiya increased the company's focus on employee and customer satisfaction while improving business planning processes, manufacturing operations, and brand/distribution strategies.

Tanemura, the upcoming president, currently serves as senior general manager of the MHI General Machinery & Special Vehicle headquarters in Sagamihara, Japan. He has 32 years of experience in the forklift business and joined MHI in March 2006. Prior to that time, Tanemura worked for nearly 30 years in forklift development, including marketing, product planning, design/test engineering, manufacturing, and after-sales activities.
