McRay Crane Hosts Another Successful Cancer Ride and Benefit

September 30, 2015 – This year’s DMR Memorial Ride & Benefit, held in memory of Dan McRay earlier this month, was a huge success, reports Calvin Jones, McRay Crane & Rigging executive director. The 2015 event raised more than $121,000 for seven families impacted by unexpected medical bills and other expenses due to cancer-related issues.

 

McRay Crane & Rigging established the annual Memorial Ride and Benefit that gives back to the industry the late Dan McRay served for more than 35 years. In 2014, the event raised $100,000 from the ride, a gun raffle, barbecue lunch, and live auction. Proceeds go to help families in the industry impacted by cancer.

 

“Four other crane companies joined hands with McRay Crane & Rigging to make this happen,” said Jones. The companies that committed to underwriting the event this year include Maxim Crane Works, L.P., Scott-Macon Equipment, TNT Crane & Rigging Inc., and Consolidated Crane & Rigging.
