Memorial Service to be Held for Allen Binder

June 9, 2008 • A service dedicated to celebrating the life of Allen J. Binder, former proprietor of Allen Equipment Inc., Franklin Park, Ill., will be held Tuesday, June 10 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home in Palatine, Ill. Memorial visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the service at 7 p.m. Binder passed away on Friday, June 6 from complications due to acute leukemia.

 

Binder was born Sept. 2, 1942, in Evergreen Park, Ill., grew up in Dalton, and raised his family in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. A prominent figure in the aerial lift rental industry, Binder owned Allen Equipment until it was purchased by RSC in 1997. He was survived by his wife Debbie Binder, children Mark (Lisa) Binder, Jamie Binder; stepdaughter Kate (Gray) Bouchillon; and sister, Lois Logan.
