Metrolift Takes Delivery of New 20,000-pound Telehandler

September 10, 2008 • Sugar Grove, Ill.-based Metrolift has taken delivery of two ZB20044 telehandler units from Guelph, Ontario-based Skyjack. In addition to its fleet of aerial platforms and material handling equipment, the uniquely designed telescoping forklift will give users an alternative to construction cranes and handlers.

“We are thrilled to have the ZB20044 in our fleet,” said Rick Dahl, Metrolift president. “This unit gives customers an option that they can't get anywhere else.”

The ZoomBoom ZB20044 offers unparalleled capacity and reach and is clearly in its own class. The unit can pick and carry 20,000-pound loads up to 44 feet and 7,000-pound loads fully extended 28 feet horizontally with outriggers deployed. The units are equipped with fully enclosed operator cab and fork positioners.

Skyjack completed delivery of the first unit in June and the second unit in July 2008.
