M-L Holdings Buys Crane Rental Company Inc.

October 16, 2018 - M-L Holdings Company Crane Group, Albuquerque, New Mexico, has acquired Crane Rental Company Inc., Washington, D.C., from Michael Scott. 

Crane Rental Company Inc. was started in the early 1930s by Scott’s great grandfather, Roy Daniel Kauffman. Scott was the fourth generation in the family to own and run the company. The employees’ pride and hard work have been the key to the company’s success in the commercial construction industry in the nation’s capital and surrounding areas for more than 80 years. 

The acquisition of Crane Rental Company Inc. extends M-L Holdings Company Crane Group’s reach in the Mid-Atlantic region, said Scott Wilson, president of M-L Holdings Co., adding more resources to serve its combined customer base. “The Crane Rental Company Inc. family and M-L Holdings Company Crane Group will continue to provide the same great service and support customers have grown to value over the years,” he said. 

With the addition of Crane Rental Company Inc., M-L Holdings Company Crane Group increases its crane-service fleet to 293 cranes ranging in capacity from 8.5 to 625 tons. Collectively, its companies have 565 trailers, 365 road tractors, and 87 forklifts in 15 full-service branch locations that include 540 employees.
