March 5, 2008 • Classic Construction Models, Beaverton, Ore., has teamed up with the Sunshine Corp., a leader in tilt wall lifting innovations, to product 100 models of its industry-leading super spreader bars.

Although it's a critical component for lifting, until recently, spreader bars were thought of as a commodity product, the company said. The Sunshine Spreader Bar, with its innovative design and ease of use, created a new class of product in the industry. With capacities as high as 125 tons, it's designed for major lifts and large tilt-up projects.

By using the engineering and construction drawings from Sunshine Corporation, Classic Construction Models was able to create an exact scale model of the real bar. The pick points on the bar are adjustable to allow them to be set for different loads. Even the markings have been duplicated for complete authenticity.

The spreader bar measures approximately 6”x1½” and comes complete with rigging, functional loadblocks and a tilt wall panel that includes a passenger door cut out. With a brass bar and resin wall construction, the accessory is a realistic load for any CCM crane models. Brass wall braces are also included. The spreader bar is a 1:48 scale model.

The models are $139.95 plus $15 shipping in the lower 48 states. The spreader bars were produced in a one-time limited edition of just 100 models.
