June 10, 2014 - To meet growing demand in North America and Australasia, Morrow Equipment Co., Salem, Ore., has expanded its tower crane fleet. A total of 56 cranes have been added or ordered within the last 12 months. With a total investment of approximately $70 million, the company says it is committed to meet the needs of the construction industry.
In late 2013, Morrow purchased a number of Liebherr luffing-boom cranes to fulfill the needs of customers in high-density urban centers. According to the company, some will enter the Australian market for the first time. Luffing-boom cranes have been increasingly adopted by contractors on spatially-challenged job sites, states Morrow.
The company reports that at ConExpo/ConAgg, it purchased nearly half of its new models, including horizontal-jib EC-H and luffing-boom HC-L models, from Liebherr Group, and is looking forward to delivering these cranes to existing and new customers as demand continues to grow.
