NCCER and NACB to Sponsor CRC ConExpo

January 12, 2011—The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and North American Crane Bureau (NACB) have been named event partners for the Crane and Rigging Conference (CRC), co-located at ConExpo-CONAGG, on Friday, March 25, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nev. CRC is produced by Maximum Capacity Media, publisher of Crane Hot Line and Lift and Access magazines.

 

NCCER, Gainesville, Fla., is a not-for-profit education foundation created to develop industry-driven standardized craft training programs with portable credentials. In partnership with NACB and Prov, the organization offers an ANSI accredited and OSHA recognized mobile crane operator certification program and a certification program for rigger and signalperson. Its certifications are portable, industry-recognized, and verifiable in real time through NCCER’s Automated National Registry. 

 

 

In 2011, Lake Mary, Fla.-based NACB celebrates its 25th anniversary as a training provider for operators of mobile, tower, and overhead cranes, as well as forklifts, aerial work platforms, and rigging. NACB has continued to expand its operations, with facilities in Florida, North Carolina, and Texas. In the future, the company plans to enter two additional regional markets in the United States and continue its expansion into Central and South America, and other world markets.

The conference includes five educational sessions, one of which is a panel discussion designed to guide contractors and crane owners through the path to compliance with the new OSHA1926.1400 regulation for cranes and derricks in construction.
