NCCER Offers Practical Examiner Training for Rigger and Signalperson Programs

Dec. 20, 2010—The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), Gainesville, Fla., conducted its inaugural Rigger and Signal Person Practical Examiner Training programs on Nov. 30, 2010 in Houston, Texas. Upon successful completion of this training, an individual is certified to conduct NCCER Rigger and Signal Person practical examinations. 

 

To be considered for this training, candidates must be affiliated with an NCCER Rigger and Signal Person Endorsed Accredited Assessment Center; have at least five years of verifiable, documented, related experience or equivalent education/training; have current NCCER Master Trainer, Instructor, or Performance Evaluator Credentials; and successfully pass NCCER Advanced Rigger and/or Signal Person written assessments.

 

More classes have been scheduled and are filling fast. A preassembled rigging kit will also be available soon. This kit includes all the equipment required to administer all three levels of the NCCER practical exams at a 20 percent savings.
