NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services Acquires Grizzly Crane

January 30, 2013–NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services, Edmonton, Alberta, has entered into an agreement to acquire Grizzly Crane Ltd.

 

Grizzly Crane was founded by Will Howe, a long time Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, resident who built the company into a leading crane rental company in the Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd regions of British Columbia.

“We are thrilled to be partnering up with Grizzly Crane to help service the fast growing Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd markets” said Ted Redmond, president and CEO of NCSG. “There are numerous mining, wind, and shale gas projects both starting up and ongoing in this region, and our goal is to continue to be a major participant in those projects.”

Will Howe will remain with the company as branch manager of NCSG/Grizzly Crane for the Tumbler Ridge region. “Our local employees will continue to provide outstanding service to our many loyal customers in the region,” said Howe. “With access to the NCSG safety and engineering team and its fleet of over 250 cranes, 170 lines of platform trailers, 200 trailers, and 65 tractors, we will be able to meet all of our customers' project, turnaround, and maintenance crane rental and heavy haul needs.”
