Nelson Manufacturing Company has been recognized by the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) with a 35-Year Longevity Award, acknowledging the company’s longstanding support and participation in the organization.

SC&RA, an international trade association with more than 1,350 members across 46 nations, presents Longevity Awards to companies for their continued dedication to the association and its mission. The awards are part of a broader program that recognizes contributions and industry involvement within the crane, rigging and specialized transportation sectors.

Nelson Manufacturing, based in Ottawa, Ohio, has been operating since 1947 and specializes in the design and manufacture of heavy haul trailers, boom launch trailers and boom dollies. The company serves a range of markets, including crane, rigging, construction, heavy haul, oversized transport and aerospace.

“It is a great honor to be a part of the SC&RA. The resources provided by the organization, such as recommended best practices and DOT permit manuals, are a tremendous help to not only members but allied members such as ourselves. The organization is a true advocate for our industry!” said Tony Niese, president of Nelson Manufacturing.

Each year, companies from the U.S. and around the world submit entries to the SC&RA Awards program, which recognizes achievements and contributions across the industry.

SC&RA continues to support its members by addressing regulatory issues, promoting safety practices and providing industry resources related to specialized transportation and rigging operations.
