June 21, 2007 • Bronto Skylift, Tampere, Finland, has appointed NESCO Sales and Rental of Bluffton, Ind., a dealer for Bronto aerial work platforms. NESCO will provide sales and service coverage in the Midwest.

The first Bronto aerial work platform in NESCO's fleet is a model SI 156 HDT with a maximum working height of 156'. The lift has an insulated platform that allows workers on the platform to work bare handed on “live” electrical power lines up to 500kV.

Other standard features include a platform with 1,000-pound capacity, a material handler with a 1,500-pound lifting capacity, a turntable with continuous 360° rotation, hydraulically operated outriggers, hydraulic tool circuits in the platform and voice communication from the turntable control station to the platform. NESCO's lift is mounted on an International 5600 chassis with an 8x6 drive system.

Bronto makes a wide variety of insulated and non-insulated aerial work platforms, including the model S-331HLA, the world's tallest truck-mounted aerial lift with a maximum working height in excess of 331'.
