June 16, 2008 • New Holland Construction, Carol Stream, Ill., recently held its annual spring sales training event at the Southfork Ranch in Texas, which was home to the popular 1970s TV series “Dallas.” Eight training sessions, held over a two-week period, were attended by 74 dealers and salespeople from across the United States and Canada.
“Training is a priority for us at New Holland Construction, and we invest significantly every year to provide hands on, on-site training complemented by online learning modules,” said Edgar Chavez, marketing director. “It is important that our dealer salespeople and technicians are always at the top of their profession, to ensure our customers receive the support they need for their business.”
The training program covered the full line of New Holland Construction products and focused on giving participants hands-on experience of their competitive advantages through a combination of classroom and field sessions, presenting features and benefits of each of the products.
The field sessions were devoted to giving participants first-hand experience of New Holland equipment. Forty New Holland and competitive machines were made available to the participants, who were given the task of completing a set of obstacle courses and preparing surveys on each product for classroom discussion.
