New Manitowoc Crane Care Facility Opens in Shady Grove
April 15, 2008 • On March 31, Manitowoc Crane Care officially dedicated its new 37,000 square-foot facility in Shady Grove, Pa. More than 100 employees responsible for aftermarket support work in the new building, including Manitowoc Crane Care's rapid response teams and technical publication department. Additionally, it is the Center of Excellence for Grove, Potain, and National Crane brands in North and South America.

Space for training also has more than doubled in the facility. This year, Manitowoc Crane Care will train more than 1,300 people on specific crane models or sub-systems at Shady Grove.
“These new quarters represent a significant investment in facilities and people,” said Dave Hardin, vice president of Manitowoc Crane Care in the Americas. “They demonstrate the value that Manitowoc puts on supporting its cranes and, more importantly, its customers. The expansion paves the way for the future growth of our business throughout the Americas.”
In addition to Shady Grove, Manitowoc has similar contact centers in Manitowoc, Wis.; Decines, France; Wilhelmshaven, Germany; and Zhangjiagang, China. Larry Bryce, executive vice president of Manitowoc Crane Care, said that providing customers with access to technical experts is a top priority.
“We strive to provide our customers with access to Manitowoc Crane Care experts 24/7,” Bryce said. “This means that no matter where you are in the world and no matter what time zone you are in, you can get technical advice and parts support from Manitowoc Crane Care.”
