New President Named for Terex Construction

Robert Isaman

December 14, 2006 • Westport, Conn.-based Terex Corp. has appointed Robert G. Isaman as president of Terex Construction, effective Jan. 2, 2007. Isaman will be based out of Westport and will report directly to Tom Riordan, who will also be joining Terex in January 2007 as president and chief operating officer. Fergus Baillie, who has been the acting president of Terex Construction, will continue to work with the division in a senior operating role, reporting to Isaman.

According to Ronald M. Defeo, Terex chairman and chief executive officer, Isaman's skills in industrial sales, operations, and general management will be a great addition to Terex's management team. “Bob's international experience in the Asia-Pacific region and Russia, as well as his track record with lean manufacturing initiatives, will allow him to become a key contributor to the future success of Terex,” Defeo said. “Bob will add some additional dimensions to our team that are particularly needed at this point in time.”

Prior to joining Terex, Isaman spent 21 years at United Technologies Corp. Most recently, he was president of Fire Safety Americas, UTC Fire & Security. Isaman holds a Master's of Business Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor's of Science degree in marketing from the University of Maryland. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army Special Forces.
