NLE Founder Rock Gillette Passes Away

October 15, 2007 • Long-term equipment broker and lifting equipment industry veteran Rock Gillette passed away Oct. 12 after a short battle with cancer. He was 65.

Although Rock has a long and colorful history in the lift equipment brokering markets, he is best known for founding National Lift Equipment, Bristol, Pa., the largest wholesale lifting equipment business in the world.

Born in California, Gillette was a resident of Bristol Township for 15 years. He is survived by his wife, Patti, five sons, and nine grandchildren. The family requested that no funeral or memorial services be held, but donations to Mooseheart, c/o Bristol Moose Lodge No. 1169, 2299 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, Pa., 19007, are appreciated.
