Online Auction to Benefit AEMP Scholarship Program
January 25, 2008 • The Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) will hold an equipment auction on Thursday, Feb. 7, at www.IronPlanet.com. The auction will benefit the AEMP Foundation Technician Scholarship program, which awards scholarships to students preparing for careers in equipment management.
The AEMP Foundation has several pieces of equipment available for bid, thanks to donations from the association's membership base of manufacturers, distributors and industry professionals. The featured auction item is a new, straight-from-the-factory Genie 8,000-pound telehandler with cab, donated by Blue Mountain Equipment Rental, Pittsburgh, Pa. Cleveland Brothers Caterpillar Dealer, also of Pittsburgh, contributed a used Cat 416D loader/backhoe, which has been run for 1,900 hours. Traylor Brothers,
