Oshkosh Truck Appoints Szews to Board of Directors

May 21, 2007 • Oshkosh Truck Corporation, Oshkosh, Wis., announced recently that Charles Szews and Timothy Roemer have been elected to the company's board of directors.

Szews is currently the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Oshkosh Truck Corporation. He joined the company in 1996 as vice president and CFO and was appointed executive vice president in 1997.

"Charlie has been one of the key authors of Oshkosh's business strategy, which has driven this company to superior operational success over the last decade,” said Robert Bohn, Oshkosh's chairman, president and CEO. “His recent work as president of JLG Industries for our newest and largest subsidiary, access equipment, is further evidence that Charlie has the knowledge, experience and leadership skills to be a key contributor to the Oshkosh Board. We're delighted to welcome him aboard."

Prior to his career with Oshkosh Truck, Szews spent eight years with Fort Howard Corporation, at the time, the leading commercial tissue manufacturer in the U.S., and before that was a senior audit manager with Ernst & Young.

Roemer currently serves as president of the Center for National Policy and as a distinguished fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, a non-profit research and educational institution dedicated to improving public policy outcomes. He has also served as a Trustee of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and served the country as a 9/11 Commission member. Before joining the company's board, Roemer was a member of Congress from Indiana.
