Palfinger Rounds Out Management Team

July 18, 2008 • The supervisory board of Palfinger AG has appointed Christoph Kaml the group's new CFO. Kaml, who is presently in charge of the financial matters of the Palfinger Group's management in North America, will take over the office of CFO as of Jan. 1, 2009.

Before joining Palfinger in 2004, Kaml was a proxy holder at an M&A consulting company in Switzerland. In 2006, he changed from Palfinger corporate development to the management of the North America sales area domiciled in Niagara Falls, Canada, where he has been in charge of finances, strategy, and business development.

“We have found an ideal match with Christoph Kaml as the new CFO,” said Alexander Exner, chairman of the supervisory board. “He is perfectly suited for this office, knows the Palfinger Group from the inside and is highly familiar with the specific traits of the group.”

As announced in June, Wolfgang Anzengruber will transfer his responsibilities as the group's CFO to the CEO, Herbert Ortner, at the end of August 2008. Ortner will hold office as CFO on an interim basis until Christoph Kaml moves into the Palfinger headquarters at the beginning of the year 2009.

This appointment has made Palfinger's management team complete again: Herbert Ortner and Wolfgang Pilz have been chief marketing officers since February 2003 and Ortner became the group's CEO in June. The position of chief operating officer, which was created in January 2008, is held by Martin Zehnder.

For many years Salzburg, Austria-based Palfinger has been one of the world's leading manufacturers of hydraulic lifting, loading, and handling systems. The group has production and assembly facilities in Europe, in North and South America as well as in Asia.
