PalFleet Truck Equipment Names President

January 18, 2013—PalFleet Truck Equipment, Birmingham, Ala., has appointed Ed Gerken as president. As the company's executive vice president, Gerken played a key role in developing a strong leadership team that has achieved dramatic results for PalFleet.

 

"Ed's strong leadership and experience in this industry are huge assets to us as we continue to grow," said Mark Woody, area manager—Palfinger North America Group. "We are pleased to have Ed as a key member of the PalFleet team." 

 

Gerken joined Palfinger in 2005 as senior marketing manager for Palfinger USA. He served as General Manager at Tiffin Loader Crane for several years before helping to lead TLC's merger with Omaha Standard Distribution in 2009, which became PalFleet Truck Equipment Co. the following year.

 

PalFleet also has reorganized its management team. Wayne Hill has been appointed vice president of operations and is joining PalFleet's senior management team. Mark Book is replacing Hill as the general manager of PalFleet--Louisville.
