Pettibone Adds 1530 Extendo to Telehandler Offerings

February 12, 2009 – Baraga, Mich.-based Pettibone unveiled its new 15,000-pound capacity Extendo 1530 machine at this year’s World of Concrete in Las Vegas, Nev., held last week.

 

Pete Haikio, Pettibone vice president of sales and marketing said the release of the Extendo 1530 fills an important need among contractors, especially those using large scaffolding units that need to be moved around a jobsite. “The 1530 really has the capacity to not only haul large loads safely, but it can actually save contractors money by eliminating the need for multiple machines on a jobsite to do the tasks the Pettibone can do on its own,” said Haikio.

 

The new 1530 model sits atop the Pettibone Extendo line, boasting a 15,000-pound lifting capacity combined with a 30’10” lift height. When configured with an optional front baler attachment, the 1530 becomes suited for use in highway construction and pipe yard applications. This underscores Pettibone's platform engineering strategy that benefits customers by enabling multiple machine versions off one basic platform.

As with all Extendo models, the new 1530 offers standard equipment that includes full time four-wheel drive planetary axles; four-wheel, two-wheel, and crab steering modes; rapid response piston pump hydraulics; and unmatched visibility.

 

Pettibone representatives showcased the new machine during World of Concrete expo, allowing attendees a first-hand experience of the machine’s features and abilities.
