PG&E Adds Elliott Boom Trucks to California Fleet

February 13, 2012Elliott dealer American Truck and TrailerBody Co Inc (ATTB) in Tracy, Calif., recently completed a fleet replacement deal with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), San Francisco, Calif., for six Elliott Boom Trucks ranging from the 18-ton capacity 1870F to the 26-ton capacity 2673F.

Elliott’s engineers designed several unique features to provide PG&E with increased productivity, including dual stand-up controls with a Greer Insight LMI on a swing-arm, an electronic angle indicator system, and a pin-on rotating and gravity leveled work basket.

PG&E’s boom trucks will be used to perform lineman work including lifting poles, installing transformers, and performing general power line work.
