August 13, 2013 – Phoenix Crane Rental of Mableton, Ga., shows its support for the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, produced by It’s the Journey, with a corporate sponsorship and a newly painted and decaled 40-ton Terex crane. The company is donating a portion of the revenues generated by the Pantone pink crane to the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer.
In addition to general donations and volunteer efforts, corporate sponsorships are critical in deepening
and expanding the organization’s impact. This year alone, the nonprofit awarded grants totaling over $500,000 to 19 breast health and breast cancer programs across Georgia. The pink crane seen around town contributes to free mammograms for women in need, promotes early breast cancer detection, and provides educational programs that offer answers and advice to anyone whose life is touched by breast disease.
Crane operator Jessica Ives, who is NCCCO and MSHA certified, has operated the pink crane since its
maiden voyage just after Mother’s Day on May 14, 2012, and will continue to do so.
“Phoenix Crane has every intention to keep the crane in operation for the lifetime of the equipment” said Karen Barton, chief financial officer and vice president. “Every dollar we can contribute yields a far greater
personal and organizational return than anything else we could have gotten involved in.”
