Raleigh Hall of Fame Honors Johnson of Southern Industrial Constructors

Earl and Margie Johnson

September 30, 2010 – Earl Johnson, Southern Industrial Constructors's founder and chairman, and his wife Margie were inducted into the Raleigh Hall of fame during a ceremony at the Raleigh Convention Center for contributing time, effort, and financial resources to the city. 

Johnson is the founder of Southern Industrial Constructors, and its subsidiary, Southern Crane. He has served as the president of the Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association and continues to serve on the board of directors and various committees. Johnson also has served on the RTI International Board for more than 37 years and is now serving his 17th year as chairman.

“Our entire organization is very proud of the honor bestowed upon Earl and Margie,” said John Wilson, president of Southern Industrial Constructors. “We’re fortunate to have such good people as founders of our organization. Margie and Earl are an outstanding couple who love Raleigh, and who give so much of their time and energy toward making this a great city.”
