Raydan Named Canadian Distributor for Link UltraRide, <br> Receives National Safety Mark Registration

September 13, 2006 • Raydan Manufacturing, Inc., Edmonton, Alberta, has announced that they have assumed the status of exclusive distributor of the Link UltraRide chassis suspensions product line in the Canadian marketplace.

The UltraRide is designed for driver comfort and safety. It replaces the standard leaf spring suspension system using all existing frame holes allowing for quick installation.

“The UltraRide completes our suspension product line,” said Ray English, president and CEO of Raydan Manufacturing. “Currently, Raydan offers the Air Link suspension for class 7 and 8 trucks, while the UltraRide is designed for the smaller class 4, 5, and 6 single-axle vehicles.”

In other news, Raydan announced its has achieved National Safety Mark registration with Transport Canada for Final Stage -- body and equipment; Intermediate Stage -- GAWR/GVWR increase; and Intermediate Stage -- wheelbase alternations. To achieve NSM registration, the company had to perform extensive testing to meet Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards/Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standrs (CMVSS/FMVSS) requirements. Raydan pursued this goal for more than three years.

According to English, the NSM registration represents compliance and safety, and one of the benefits of the registration is that it permits Raydan to make modifications to the gross vehicle weight rating to increase a truck's payload capacity.
