Reach-All Platforms Adds Insulated Rotating Jib Boom Basket Attachment

June 22, 2015 - Reach-All Platforms LLC has added an insulated rotating jib boom personnel basket attachment for cranes to its product line. The CraneMate insulated attachment connects to the boom tip and can allow workers to wrap around objects and get closer to the work surface or maneuver around objects to remove tree branches or work on the blind side of power poles or transformers without dangerous lean over or gaps.
The basket pins on to most cranes through the equipment’s existing swing jib mounting brackets, allowing it to be used on all-terrain cranes, boom trucks, telescopic boom crawlers, or other hydraulic telescopic equipment. It is suitable for a variety of markets and users, including power transmission, utilities and electric contractors, telecom antennas, commercial painting, bridge construction and maintenance, outdoor signs and lighting, and building construction.
Other features and capabilities include:
- 320° platform rotation and automatic leveling
- The ability to fasten the platform to the vehicle without a cradling attachment;
- A self-contained power control box with onboard electric-over-hydraulic valve assembly and electronic sensors, and an optional pocket-sized radio control; and
- Safety harness and lanyard anchors for additional risk avoidance.
CraneMate insulated baskets are available in lengths from 12 to 16 ft. with 300 lbs. of capacity.
