Rigging Institute Conducts Level II Certified Rigger Class

March 23, 2012The Rigging Institute, LLC, Knoxville, Tenn., recently conducted a certified Rigger Level II preparation course for students taking the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) Rigger Level II certification. 

The three-day class was held at the APEX/ Campbell Chain plant in York, Pa.—one of seven established Rigging Institute learning centers across the United States. This location gives students an opportunity to see all facets of the chain manufacturing process and learn rigging skills. 

The class consisted of eight NCCCO Level I rigger certified students: Pauline Johnson, I&I Sling Inc.; Jim Harkins, I&I Sling Inc.; Gary Sharp, I&I Sling Inc.; Ron Witt, Rigging Institute, LLC; Will McKeon, I&I Sling Inc.; Danny Ledford, I&I Sling Inc.;  Matt Winkelman, I&I Sling Inc.; and Jeff Spatz, The Graham Co. Most of the students were I&I Slingmax product advisors.

Harley Gist, Rigging Institute’s lead instructor conducted the class, which included one day of classroom training, one day of hands-on training and one day of examination.
