Ritchie Bros. Expands in Asia

December 8, 2008 – Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, Vancouver, British Columbia, reports it has purchased approximately 16 acres of land near Tokyo, Japan, on which it intends to develop a new permanent auction site. According to Ritchie Bros., this facility will be an important step in the company's strategy to expand its presence in the Asian market. The company has a sales office in Tokyo and has conducted a number of auctions in Japan in the past 10 years.
