Ritchie Bros. Breaks Ground on N.C. Auction Site

September 14, 2011—Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers recently broke ground on a new permanent auction site serving the Raleigh-Durham, N.C. region. Located in Butner, N.C., the approximately 107 acre site will replace a 33-acre site in Statesville, N.C. The new facility is expected to be completed in mid-2012.

The new facilities include a 33,000-square foot auction building featuring a 500-seat auction theater and 300-seat virtual ramp theater and a 16,000-square foot refurbishing building with wash pads and painting and blasting booths. Construction is expected to be completed in mid-2012.
