Ritchie Bros. to Conduct Back-to-Back Equipment Auctions in Utah
September 18, 2015 - Ritchie Bros. will conduct back-to-back unreserved public equipment auctions in Utah on Sept. 29 & 30, 2015. The September 29 auction will be held at Ritchie Bros.' permanent Salt Lake City auction site, and features equipment items from dozens of owners. On September 30, Ritchie Bros. will conduct a one-owner, complete dispersal auction for the Shurtleff & Andrews Corp. at their site.
Shurtleff & Andrews is a Utah-based heavy industrial structural steel and mechanical erection company that has operated for 65+ years. More than 4,300 equipment items and trucks will be sold in the two auctions, including cranes, rigging & accessories, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and trailers. Bidders can participate in the auctions in person, online at rbauction.com, and by proxy.
"The Shurtleff & Andrews Corp. has worked on hundreds of projects across the United States and their equipment fleet is second-to-none," said Ron Moss, Ritchie Bros. regional sales manager. "This is a unique opportunity for interested buyers to purchase equipment and tools from one of the most well-respected steel-erection contractors in the nation. The day before the Shurtleff & Andrews auction, we will hold another unreserved public auction at our permanent Salt Lake City site, selling more than 850 items for dozens of owners across the state. All items in both auctions will be sold without minimum bids or reserve prices."
Describing their equipment, Glen Shurtleff, vice president, said, "All of our equipment has been maintained at the highest level, which has allowed us to perform our work with minimal downtime. We're known for the quality of our equipment across the country."
"In fact, a lot of our equipment and tools are brand new and have never been used," added Matt Nelson, president. "We've got everything anyone would need from a steel-erection standpoint, from cranes and trucks, to safety equipment, small tools, and rigging." Equipment includes three American Model 11320 and two Model 9310 crawler cranes, and two Model 7530 truck cranes; two Link-Belt RTC8065 rough-terrains and a Model HTC8670 truck crane; and five JLG Model 1350SJP boom lifts.
