ICUEE 2009 will include a co-located safety conference.

December 1, 2008 – Industry professionals involved with the utility and communications sector will have a one-stop resource for exhibits and education in 2009 with the co-location of the iP Safety Conference and Expo and the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE). ICUEE 2009 will be held Oct. 6-8 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky. The iP Safety Conference and Expo will be held Oct. 5-7.

The iP safety conference targets safety, training and operations professionals in the utility and communications sector. The three-day event will feature more than 20 presentations and panel discussions. Experts active in the industry will share their knowledge in four seminar tracks: safety management, worksite safety, transitional workforce, and equipment safety.

Also new for ICUEE in 2009 is the iP Safety Zone exhibits pavilion, which will offer the latest safety and training products and services related to fall protection, confined-space protection, trenching, aerial equipment, and rescue training.

The co-located events will provide expanded educational and networking opportunities. Attendees will have access to a broader spectrum of exhibiting companies and products, and exhibitors will have increased exposure to utility safety and training managers.

“We are dedicated to safety, and our mission is to help reduce job-related incidents,” said Carla Housh, publisher of Incident Prevention magazine, which produces the conference and exhibits pavilion. “Our conference co-location with ICUEE and exhibits presence will enhance our efforts to create a safer work environment in the utility marketplace.”
