May 8, 2008 • Sany Germany GmbH will hold a grand opening event and investment announcement ceremony in Cologne, Germany, on May 18 to celebrate the establishment of the company's German headquarters. Sany Germany is the first affiliate company registered in Europe by a Chinese construction machinery company, according to the company. The establishment of Sany Germany, with a parts and logistic center, marks the company's entrance into the European construction market following investments in India and America.
“Sany is not only a Chinese company, but also will be an international one,” said Liang Wengen, board chairman of Sany Group.
Sany Europe was established in November 2006 and now covers 36 countries in Europe. After the establishment of the German headquarters, Sany Europe will be renamed Sany Germany GmbH. The company plans to purchase more land to build plants in Cologne, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany.
Sany produces 150 kinds of products in 15 categories, from concrete equipment to crawler cranes. The business scope of Sany's German company focuses on construction machinery sales and services, leasing, financial services, and logistics. It can provide equipment sales, leasing and after-sales service for all European customers, and operator training and technical support for local customers.
Tang Xiuguo, president of Sany Group, indicated that European Union is the biggest single market in the world with trade volume amounts of $4.43 trillion. Tang said Sany Germany will become the marketing development base in Europe, Russia, Africa, and the Middle East and the platform of research and development, manufacture, sales, leasing, logistics, service, investment, strategic cooperation, and human resources in Europe.
In China, Sany has established five industrial parks in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenyang, Kunshan and Changsha. Around the globe, Sany's business has covered over 130 countries with 12 overseas subsidiaries, and its products have been exported to more than 80 countries and areas.
